Beach days are here! The heat is just unstoppable these days that everyone has the beach on their priority lists of go to’s this week. Yay for shorts, flip-flops and cute summer dresses! Wish we could wear them all year-round, actually. Maybe in some parts of the country 😉 Lucky if you do!
This summer, I am so into statement tees, like this one shown here. Similar shorts here. Growing up, Ariel was one of my favorite disney characters, I thought having gills instead of legs was cool and it could help me soar around the beautiful corals and see all the colorful marine life underwater. But– the reality is that I didn’t know how to swim until I was in my early 20’s (ha! fear of water perhaps?) and got proper lessons, thanks mom! So I guess I’m sticking to wearing my Mermaid tees so I can still pretend to do so. 🙂
On that note, I also found this cute Mermaid off Duty one piece swimsuit and just had to have it. I feel like the comeback of the one piece is just so refreshing, sure it’s nice to bare all skin on the beach in a bikini, but it’s also great to cover up a bit (hell yeah!) and not worry that you didn’t work-out this morning (ahem!). I like wearing it on it’s own or as a top paired with a maxi skirt or even shorts. Find a similar skirt here.
As of the moment I am still trying to get my fishtail braids to be perfect, I admit I am struggling. Maybe I should just get some mermaid hair extensions, I believe that would be so much easier. 🙂
