The Biggest Pre-Fall Sale of the Year: Nordstrom Early Access Sale

It’s that time once again! Oh yeah! The biggest Pre-fall sale of the year is here! It’s the Nordstrom Early Access Sale. Woot woot! Chances are you’ve probably heard of this big sale happening from some of the fashion bloggers you follow, who have already been talking non-stop about today- yep the big day is today! Why exactly you may ask is this such a big deal?

Well for starters, there are a lot of designer brands on sale during this event. And most of them never go on sale, til maybe like on Black Friday, some don’t have sales period. Such brands like Ray-Ban, MCM, AG Jeans, Steve Madden and etc. And I’m not talking about last season’s old goods girl. Their new swag is on sale. Yes. So that’s why it’s pretty big.

One thing I noticed as an avid Nordstrom customer for awhile now, is that a lot of these items could not be found anywhere else. Yes, I checked. I will always google the same item and see if it’s anywhere else and sometimes it may be, BUT- you guessed it, it’s not on sale.

Add to the fact that Nordstrom’s free shipping and returns is such a big deal! Do you know that some online retailers charge  a whopping $10 or more per order to ship? And sometimes that’s even if you spend above $70 or worse $100! Omgee. No thanks. Save your bucks and get that free ship all day everyday baby!

Basically this “Early Access” is for Nordstrom cardholders only, and yes I know what you’re thinking, another credit card application. That’s what I thought too. Until I started to get all the rewards. And not to mention some awesome Nordstrom notes. June 12, today is the first day of the sale for cardholders, it will last til the 19th. So only cardmembers get to shop throughout these dates. The rest get to shop during July 20th- August 5.

The thing is items go waay fast. Before you even blink, most good stuff are gone. I regretted a couple of years ago when I didn’t have early access, and I thought, no biggie I’ll just wait when it’s open to everyone, BIG MISTAKE. A lot of the items I liked were gone. And even worse, they sold out. And some took forever to be restocked. Some did not come back! Boo me.

From then on, I learned my lesson and am sharing a few tricks I have under my sleeve for this big Pre-Fall Sale:

The Card is the Key. Obviously, so if you don’t have access yet, you can apply for a Nordstrom card right here . Other benefits include Nordstrom notes, (cash for shopping a certain amount) triple point days (more money for you) and of course early access to the biggest sales of the year and lots more!

Save your Nordstrom Notes. I look forward to this sale every year because the deals are just amazing! So I save my Nordstrom notes so I can spend them during the sales as I know they’ll always come in handy. I’m sharing some of my favorite picks and deals in this post, I’m obsessed with those Steve Madden boots on the third pic- only $86.90!!! Regular price is $129.95! And they are knee high boots baby! Boots are pricey. You know that.

Get It Girl (or Boy) 😉 As I said above, once the sale is open, even the early access one, lots of items ran out or your size may not be available. If all else fails, get it now and return if you have a change of heart. Nordstrom has one of the best customer service there is so you can always get your money back if it it didn’t work out. And remember free returns too so you don’t have to go to the store.

Stock up on Fall Items. Cold weather gear and accessories ain’t cheap. Brands like The North Face, Patagonia, Barefoot Dreams are hardly on sale. Lots of fall jackets, sweaters and accessories are under $100 so go ahead, prepare for that snow trip now or else you will pay big time later.

International sales, I’m not quite sure, I would think if you do have the card you should be able to have access online, but I would check with customer service just to be sure.
