I just got back from a week vacation from Vegas and Southern Utah, fairly close states to SoCal. And the summer heat was in full swing baby! My usual tank tops, shirts and shorts were not working out. I was still REALLY HOT. Before the trip, I was looking around for cute alternatives for this weather that were not too revealing (I didn’t want to be walking around in my underwear after all) and found a super cute and feminine detail that I am currently obsessed with- the white eyelet.

It’s super chic and cool of course. And the white color looks so good on bronzed summer skin! It makes you look leaner and your tan deeper 😉 I feel like darker eyelet colors do not have the same effect like if you chose black or navy as the perforations cannot be seen immediately unless looked up close. So white is my definite fave!

I chose to wear this halter dress post hiking in Bryce Canyon in Utah, this is where we shot this post too 😉 And I knew I made the right decision as I immediately felt cool and comfy afterwards. The thing about wearing a white eyelet dress or top is you have to wear a nude bra underneath as black or white could easily be seen. I found this backless bra here that’s inexpensive and solves all halter dress/tops underwear problems! 🙂

Espadrilles are also perfect for the summer. They are stylish and comfortable, you can wear them with a dress, jeans or shorts. I chose white for the classic appeal to this all white look.

Remember this bikini? Hehe. It’s in this post.  I paired this cute ruffled bikini top with this skirt or should I say skort (shorts on the inside, skirt on the outside) and it totally works. Eyelet skirts are super cute especially ones that have pretty details like this ruffle hem and it wraps too. It’s also forgiving on the figure as it is not too tight and not too short. My advise is sizing up so there’s room for sitting down and movement.

This is a perfect summer outfit in my opinion. From the beach to doing anything outdoors really. I also wore this skort with a black halter top and it totally worked as well. I am currently in love with this skirt, I mean skort. 🙂 

For petites, I suggest wearing a tighter or fitted top as this skirt has a flyaway hem which makes one bigger on the bottom, so enhance your upper body with a figure hugging top. Like a cute graphic tee or maybe an off the shoulder crop top would be an amazing look.
