Hello Kitty x Converse: Back to School Chic

 

It’s been a few years since I was in school but I always feel nostalgic during back to school season. No more homework, studying late and seeing my friends everyday. And I thought school was so hard- little did I know there was more to come in my adulthood years 😩

As I am so into this time of the year transitioning to fall (slowly) and all, I decided to create a chic and classic back to school look. And I squealed in delight as I saw that the Hello Kitty x Converse has just dropped. Like OMG. OMG (Insert heart palpitations here) as I saw these super cute pair of white high tops online. Give it to me NOWWWW!!! 😉

Can I confess that I did not own a single pair of converse sneakers? Like none. Blame it on wearing uniforms throughout my school years (I went to Catholic schools from Kindergarten to College) which means wearing the same thing (including shoes) every single day. I know. Boring.

So when I saw this pair with Hello Kitty and her friends looking cute and all, I knew I had to have it. Being a die-hard and obsessive Hello Kitty fan since I was a young girl, I grabbed the chance and I’m so glad I did. 😊

 

 

These sneakers are surprisingly comfy, and of course oh-so-cute! Both the outer sides show Kitty and friends and the inner tongue of these sneaks have Hello Kitty’s face and a red bow as seen here. The small red bows on the first row of shoe laces is a cute detail too.

And oh this came in a super cute pink box with Hello Kitty’s cute face on it of course. Sweet! 😉 Another thing it came with is another pair of shoelaces (pink). I’m in heaven!

The only thing is that just like boots or any high top shoes, it’s a bit harder getting it on and off depending if you tighten your shoelaces. I got a 6.5 a half size bigger than my usual, and it works perfect for me with socks and all. 😉

These sneakers are definitely back to school chic and I love pairing it with shorts and miniskirts. I channeled Gossip Girl with this look. Hope Serena and Blair will approve 🙂

For school bags I loved a tote or crossbody bag when I was in College I think it keeps all your stuff in and you can access everything easily. I am currently having a moment with bucket bags as they can carry all my essentials- phone (I have big one), wallet, sunnies etc.

This outfit can also be worn to work I would just change the skirt to maybe a midi or a maxi, and depending on your field if you can getaway with sneakers to work, I would say go for it! I think these sneakers are not just for the young, but for everyone with a young heart! 🙂

 

 

 

 

I’ve had this Lacoste polo shirt for years. And it is always a classic. Just a plain white shirt can instantly give you a fresh and a bit more formal look as opposed to just wearing a plain tee. I converted my hubby into wearing Lacoste shirts actually, he loves the fit and they really do last long, but they are on the pricey side.

I feel somewhat like a tennis player without the blazer though. 😅

 

 

I kept my accessories to a minimum during my student years, a cute pair of pearls or stud earrings will do, or sometimes I would be playful and wear my dangling ones. It’s really up to you! I feel like students these days are more experimental and stylish as they have so many role models to look up to now with social media and all.
