Classic Style Staple: The Biker Jacket

 

There are just some things in life that are oldies but goodies. Songs on the radio, movies or maybe even vintage outfits. They have been around forever and will continue to be as long as people want them to be. The classics will never go out of style, just like Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Iconic.

Biker jackets or more recently called Moto jackets is one of those iconic style staples that everyone should have in their closets. It’s such a badass look, you don’t need much else much to go with it. Today,  I’m sharing a Fall must have for everyone, all ages, sexes and races- the biker jacket.

I love biker/ moto jackets for it’s versatility and effortless appeal. I usually pair it with leggings, as shown here, as this is my official fall (or winter) uniform. I absolutely love the black on black style. If it’s cooler, I layer it with a sweater underneath, if it’s warmer maybe a white shirt is great with this look!

I am so into hooded jackets be it a denim jacket or this one. It’s a nice touch and it comes in handy in cooler months. BlankNYC usually has a wide variety of biker jackets in different materials, shades and styles, it is definitely my go to brand for jackets in particular. A suede version is also a must have although it requires a bit more maintenance and care.

 

 

Aside from leggings, if you’re a jean gal a biker jackets is totally perfect for that combo. A cute short skirt would work too. I usually size up in jackets so I can have more room in layering as I tend to get cold easily. 😉This particular jacket comes in other colors: Mushroom and Evergreen.
