Basic Drugstore Makeup Must Haves and Makeup Tools for Beginners

 

While everyone is busy making lists, cooking or going to Friendsgiving parties, I on the other hand, am sharing some basic old school makeup goodness for today. I used to be active in forums, particularly in Reddit, (Have you guys been active on that site/app? ) and I discovered that quite a few people are just beginning their journey in makeup.

Now I am not a makeup artist, more of a makeup-loving-slash-hoarding-slash-cakeface girl okay you get it. But I do know that you don’t need 20+ items to create your basic makeup starter kit, nor do you need a lot of dough to acheive it. The drugstore is a great place for makeup beginners and I’m sharing all my secrets in today’s post.

The first video below is about the basic makeup items that are absolutely necessary and when I mean basic, I mean the bare minimum. The second video is all about the tools you need to create a basic full face of makeup. Again all of these items are in the drugstore and are very simple items that would not break the bank! I did not always love makeup like I do today. I used to have acne in high school and could not wear a lot of products as most would instantly make my skin breakout. I was self-conscious, depressed and did not feel good about myself. When I discovered wearing makeup when my skin was a bit better (and I was a bit older) it really changed my life. A little concealer, powder and lipstick can make such a huge difference in someone’s day. I hope it does the same for you as it did on mine!
