As I get older, I am definitely noticing the changes in my skin. I always have problems with sensitivity and texture as my skin is more of the combination-oily skin type. I also breakout easily with products that have too much additives like oils and fragrances so just trying out anything from the store is a no-no.
It took awhile but now I am happy to have found some of my holy grail skincare products that definitely changed my skin. 🤗 Read on for some of my favorite skincare products!
I have always been a fan of Dr. Brandt but somehow I haven’t tried their cleansers. I have always loved the Pores No More Line especially the PoreDermabrasion (pictured below) and I like how it exfoliates the skin gently and I feel like I came from the spa after using it! 🤗 I recently have been using the Pore Purifying Cleanser and I absolutely love it! It has Salicylic acid and Tea tree oil that helps keep breakouts at bay. I use this a couple of times a week on days I wear makeup and it gives me that super clean face feel!
Tatcha Texture Tonic. I have discovered this baby from Tatcha awhile ago in Sephora. And as always, Tatcha never disappoints! In just one use, I immediately noticed the redness on my cheeks disappear and helps so much with my pores and texture! It is a bit drying though, so I make sure to moisturize after this step.
Hanskin Hyaluron Skin Essence. This is like my second or third bottle of this baby. And I honestly want all of my skin to drink this “water.” After my toner, I apply this using my fingers and my skin is never tight, it just absorbs all the moisture this essence gives. This brand is also suitable for sensitive skin as I never had any issues with breaking out, like ever. 🤗
Missha Time Revolution Essence. I alternate between these two essences, or depending if my skin is super dry, which it does get dry, I use both usually for my night time skin care routine. I love this essence because it really clarifies your skin, I can tell my skin is so much brighter when I use this. Not too mention the fermented ingredients in this essence is such a plus for great skin! 😊
True Botanicals Chebula Active Serum and Pure Radiance Oil. I am always on the lookout for clean beauty products to add to my routine and boy have I found them! True Botanicals totally changed my skin! This helps even out my skintone and clear acne scars! I love the Pure Radiance oil as it helps balance my combo skin!
Exfoliators: Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion and Pore Clarifying Cleanser and Neogen Pore Tight Peeling Mouse. I use these guys sparingly like 1-2 times a week as I find that they tend to dry my skin if I go back to back. Ingredients such as Retinol, Salicylic acid and others help keep my breakouts and pigmentation at bay! 🤗
Blume Meltdown Acne oil and Stargirl Hydrating Toner Mist. This new brand available in Ulta has my heart! I adore the Meltdown oil as it really helps in hydrating the skin and clearing out breakouts! Yes from an oil! 🙌🏻 and the Hydrating mist helps seal my skincare before I go to bed.
BFF Best Face Forward Balancing Serum. This product has AHA, BHA and Niacinamide which helps clear the skin, evens out skintone and tightens pores! Obsessed with this and I use it a few times a week.
Kiehl’s Retinol Skin-Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum. This is my latest addition to my skincare routine, Kiehl’s products are so underrated, this one is no exception. I use this Retinol serum 1-2 times a week and I find that as I age I’ve been needing more exfoliators such as this one to help clear my skin. Hyperpigmentation, acne scars and enlarged pores are some of things that this serum has helped my skin with.
And of course I use these products in conjunction with how my skin feels. Sometimes if it’s too dry I skip Retinol or all the acids and concentrate on moisturizing my face! 🤗 Like for this Fall season I am feeling my skin more tight in the morning when I wake up so I definitely hydrate my skin!
