Barbie x Missguided

It’s almost fall, but before we dive right into the cooler months, let’s make way for some of the heatwaves passing through. Missguided, one of my go-to brands, for everything hip, trendy and feminine, has partnered with none other than Barbie, the epitome of all things girly and fierce! The first Barbie x Missguided drop was about a couple of months ago, and everything sold out within minutes. I’m not even kidding! They are back for the second time around and everything in the awesome collection is back, from hoodies, tees, denim jackets, to Barbie phone accessories and backpacks. Hurry and get yours today before they go away…for good!

I honestly could not pick from this super fun collection, I waited for midnight that day they relaunched! 😉 Of course I had to be true to my heart’s desire and decided to go for all pink! 🙂 This short sleeve tee is super soft and comfy, perfect for jeans or shorts, as I have here.

I couldn’t take my eyes away from this onepiece swimsuit! I just had to have it! The fit is a bit large, even for my size XS or 0 for this line, I would get a size smaller for a better fit. 🙂 This pink though… OMG! So eye-catching, girly and what all my dreams are made of! This collection shows the modern Barbie, of how she would dress if she were alive today. A lot of attitude, spunk and she has gone far from her old self in the 50’s. It showcases a lot of comfy classics, like shirts, camo hoodies, tye-dye sets, sheer and crop tops. Of course Logo tees and swimwear, as I have here, which will always be a classic. But the dead giveaway of tees with “Bye Ken” or “I can’t come out tonight I’m busy” says that Barbie has gone very independent and doesn’t need a man to show her fun spirit and girl power. This is such a positive message for young girls. Brava Missguided!

And no, Barbie is not just meant for 8 year-olds. She is an icon of beauty, femininity and now comes in all shapes and sizes! Adults and non-adults can enjoy this ultra-chic line, which also comes in plus sizes by the way. Overall, I am so obsessed with this collaboration, my only complaint is that, there was no dress at all!! Really?! I was waiting for a pink or black dress, maybe in leather. There is a mini skirt, but no dress. Boo.

But I guess I’ll live as the prices are pretty good, compared to other clothing collabs, all I can say is I will probably buy more Barbie, this time no more pink for me. Or can I really do that?
