What to Wear Now: The Short Sleeve Sweater

I have been loving going on weekend trips lately and have been wearing some short sleeved sweaters during some of those trips. It’s not quite fall weather yet so I feel like it’s the perfect transitioning outfit. In this post I am wearing one paired with a denim skirt which makes for an easy, effortless and fun look!

This top could easily pass for a designer brand, but it’s super affordable (Forever 21!) sadly, it’s sold out as I post this, I couldn’t find it anywhere anymore 😩so I’m linking similar ones on the widgets below.

A short sleeved sweater could be worn with almost anything from skirts to jeans, it’s even great to wear to work with a pair of slacks. It is so easy to layer too, wether you’re dressing up or down, just throw in a jacket or a cardigan, and boom you’re done.

One of the things I like about a short sleeved sweater is that it usually is made of a warmer material so it’s perfect for temps like higher 60’s to upper 70’s so you can stay warm, but at the same time, not too warm that your arms can be exposed and it would still feel comfortable to wear outside. I’m telling you it will look amazing on almost any type of look.

This sweater also creates a more youthful vibe as most come in fun designs, print and graphic details like this one I have on. My favorites are flowers, stripes and even lace! 😍

I can’t really think of any negatives for a short sleeved sweater, maybe some of them ran a few sizes small so size up when choosing one as they tend to rise up from the back. Breathable and loose fabrics usually have a more relaxed fit and forgiving on trouble areas so take note of that.
